Excursion to the caves
La Cova d'en Gispert
“The Cova d’en Gispert” stands out for being the longest and most spectacular sea cave on the Costa Brava, It is located between Aiguablava and Tamariu. It has a narrow entrance and surprisingly it is 150 metres long and 3-8 metres wide.
Inside, the cave forks. To the right, it continues 10 metres to a tiny beach. Continuing straight through the main gallery, we reach a round room of 20 metres diameter and 22 metres high with a rocky isle in the center called the “Table”.
After getting used to the darkness but with some light coming in through the entrance, you can appreciate the beautiful red and green colors of the walls and fresh water trickling.
The bravest ones even dare to dive in and swim out!
